Happy 2022!
Welcome to the new year and I hope it brings you all you wish for. Did you do any art over the holidays or watch any inspiring creative videos on YouTube or other digital platforms?
As for myself, I was sorry I didn't travel with a sketchbook over the holidays. Art supplies were the thing that easily got cut from my suitcase when I had to be realistic about the 50lb limit, but then I missed being able to draw and doodle when I had downtime. I was in Florida at a house on a lake and spent a lot of "downtime" looking out at a couple of cranes who hid in the reeds at the water's edge. After studying their graceful forms, I want to paint them. (The attached image is the start of one.) My upcoming artwork may have more blues and grays than you've seen from me previously. I also looked at lots of art online and found inspiration in some artists I will share in upcoming newsletters. I'm finding Instagram reels to be a gold mine for inspiration.
We are on for OPEN STUDIO this Tuesday, January 18th. There are a couple of spots left in the morning session and a couple of spots also in the afternoon. Text me your RSVP and sign up at the website or with Venmo to reserve your spot. See you soon!
Cheers! Angie
